Alexis Ferguson Psychological Assessments NJ
Dr. Ferguson is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, learning disabilities, mood disorders, behavioral disorders (ADHD, ODD), children and families, and assessment. She holds licenses in New Jersey and New York. Her broad clinical experience spans multiple settings and she has provided services to individuals across the lifespan. She completed her training at prestigious externship and internship sites including Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Rutgers University/University Hospital, Four Winds Hospital, the Hawthorne School District, and the Special Treatment Unit housed within the East Jersey State Prison.
Dr. Ferguson has always be a lover of the sciences, which sparked her interest in attending Rutgers University, graduating as a dual major in Exercise Science and Psychology (honors distinction). Her interest in working with children and learning about their development led her to enroll in Pace University’s PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology program. Along the way, she earned her Masters of Science in Education (MSEd) and was fully trained as a school psychologist. She now works at Pace University as an Assistant Professor and is the Director of Assessment for the Psychology department. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Ferguson was an active member of the psychology department and was consistently awarded for her excellence in clinical services and service to the field, culminating in her being awarded the 2022 Outstanding Graduate Student Award across all graduate programs within the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University.
