About Sarah Stefanakis:
Sarah Stefanakis, Psy.D.:
Sarah Stefanakis, Psy.D. is a certified school psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology and cognitive behavioral therapy. She specializes in providing psychological services in the context of a school environment. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from James Madison University. Subsequently, she went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Psychological Studies and an Educational Specialist Degree in School and Community Psychology from Seton Hall University. While working full-time as a school psychologist in the Wayne Public Schools, she began her doctorate degree in School Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Sarah has experience working with children across a number of settings including in-district and out-of-district public school placements, as well as non-profit organizations. She has provided individual and group counseling for children of all ages to assist with skill building and emotional adjustment. She has also administered psycho-educational batteries for the purpose of determining special education eligibility. Furthermore, as a member of a Child Study Team, she has a well-developed understanding of public school procedures, curriculum demands, and special education regulations. During her pre-doctoral internship at Kessler, she gained extensive knowledge and practical experience in neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy with brain-injured populations.
