Yea Seul Pyun, Ph.D.:
Dr. Pyun is a clinical psychology permit holder in the state of New Jersey (#203-068), who practices in English and Korean. She graduated from State University of New York, New Paltz with a BA in Psychology and received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University. She currently works as a postdoctoral fellow at Mindful Assessments and Psychological Services to provide both empirically supported treatments and neuropsychology assessments. She specializes in assessing and treating children, adolescents, adults, and their families with behavioral and emotional difficulties including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), anxiety disorders, depression, and developmental disorders.
Dr. Pyun has worked with children of all ages, from infants and adolescents, and adults. She is dedicated to provide empirically supported treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavior Therapy. She has received special trainings in working with children with ADHD (i.e., Parent Management Training, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy), Selective Mutism, organizational deficits (i.e., Organizational Skills Training), trauma (i.e., Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), swallowing difficulties, and sleep problems.
